Having spent 20 years in the recruitment advertising business — bar a two year break to become the Sales and Marketing Director of Scotlands’ largest smoker of salmon — Armen has worked with some of the UK‘s largest recruitment marketing specialists as well as with great organisations — from British Airways and Tesco to the Atomic Weapons Establishment and Broadmoor Secure Hospital.
Following a stint as UK Client Services Director for Bernard Hodes, Armen decided to get back to the "coal face" and launched jklm Ltd in 1998 to take advantage of increasing demand from clients to capitalise on online activities. Having negotiated the successful sale of jklm to Euro RSCG Riley in 2001, Armen became a founding partner of Drum in 2002 and is the Drum graduate expert and has in-depth experience of leveraging web based technologies to develop graduate campaigns as well as utilizing traditional methodologies to build employer brands on campus. |
A founding Director of Drum, Nicola has significant recruitment advertising experience having worked in some of the largest recruitment advertising agencies in the UK — from Euro RSCG Riley to JWT Specialised Communications.
In 2002, Nicola joined Drum as a founding Director to implement her belief that a recruitment advertising budget should adhere to the same exacting performance requirements as the marketing or IT budgets — to generate a measurable return on investment.
Nicola heads up the Drum "not for profit" team developing bespoke communications strategies that enable organisations in this sector to reduce their recruitment spend and increase their ROI. |
Having spent more than 17 years on the other side of the fence in media sales - starting at the Observer Newspaper, moving on to market leading consumer magazine brands at IPC Media, and then eventually to Penton Media Europe, becoming Group Event Director, heading up a series of world class B2B trade shows and conferences, Jonquil has developed a specialism in identifying new business opportunities and then devising strategies for adding value.
As a founding director of Drum, she continues to lead the new business activity but also manages special projects, events, SEM as well as PPC ad campaigns and is now a fully accredited Google Advertising Professional™.
